Across the world the New Year was celebrated in a number of
ways. The one thing in common to all the celebrations was the joy that the
people were filled with. While all of us were thoroughly enjoying ourselves,
several hundreds of people were either dying or mourning for the dead in
countries across the globe. While thousands of fireworks were being let off,
the earth was mourning due to their after effects. While we continue polluting
our environment, our children are being denied a clean and healthy environment.
The current situation be it the environment, the global economy or world peace,
is deteriorating and that too very fast. As we enter the New Year, 2014 let us
pledge to do our bit in controlling pollution, keeping our country clean, and
bringing peace to the world. Let us spread love and happiness. Let us make our
world a better place to live in. Happy New Year 2014!!
